This weekly course is for you if...

You want to get out of your head and let go of perfectionism

We understand improv as a safe space to try out all the things you'd never dare in real life and let yourself be silly. Trust us when we say: there is magic in playing an angry sea captain for the first time.

You want more confidence speaking in public or to pursue comedy as a hobby

What do many of the greats in modern comedy, such as Parks and Rec's Amy Poehler or German sweetheart Anke Engelke in common? They started out doing improv! Many improvisational concepts such as comedic timing and storytelling are especially relevant for your next stand-up set, work presentation or even wedding toast.

You want to have fun after work and connect with people

Our courses are designed to help you relax, make friends and let your creative juices flow. The exercises will make it easy to forge a bond with your team members, understand how their brain works and even elicit little moments of "I thought exactly the same!"

Meet your instructors

These veteran cast members of HaHa Hamburg Impro with over 40 years of collective stage experience (yes, we counted!), will each bring some of their own comedy style to the classes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any prior improv knowledge?

No, not at all! We will teach you the basics with easy-to-understand exercises and games. If you already have some improv experience, that's even better! Your team mates will be thankful to be in a scene with you; and even for experienced improvisers, you often learn the most playing with novices.

What if I'm not funny or witty enough?

If you recently saw your first improv show, you may feel nervous about coming up with all these witty one-liners and comedic callbacks. Don't worry! In fact, in many of the exercises we teach, comedy is merely a by-product. If you engage with the others, relax and have fun, the funny bits will come on their own.

I can't make it to a specific day, do I get a refund?

The good news first: Our level 1 course is designed to work even if you miss a class - you can simply come back next week and jump straight back in!

As we provide very good value, please understand that we don't offer partial refunds if you're unable to attend an individual class.

That said, we understand life happens. Should you have to cancel all your remaining classes for important personal reasons, please get in touch and we will find a solution.
